System posts, 5 mm posts littered all over their bodies, essentially an updated version of the Powerlinx system and Takara's previous Arms Micron play system. Another line-wide feature is battle-damaged paint jobs on Deluxe-and-up figures to fit with the gritty "war" aspect. Returning to this toyline are Micromasterswhich are bundled in two packs, replacing the Legends Class of the last half-decade, and are now able to combine into large weapons as well as transform into their vehicle form.

This size class is also used for Soundwave's minions, who can turn into cassettes or be used as a shield with fold-out pegs. Replacing the Prime Masters from the last toyline are " Battle Masters ", small Targetmaster -type figures that can combine with other weapons and figures. They include additional "Fire Blast" effect pieces that can be placed onto other weapons included with other size classes, as well as hardpoints on the figures themselves to simulate being 'shot' or on the back of vehicles to simulate "rocket boosters" or "speed", depending on the effect part.

Some Deluxe Class figures are classified as "Deluxe Weaponizers," which can be disassembled into multiple weapons to be used in the C. Leader Class figures are very similar to Power of the Primesin which smaller figures come with additional armor that can be added to vehicle mode or robot mode to increase their size to become the height of a Leader Class figure.

This is likely due to robot mode scale playing a much larger role in this series than in the past, with characters sticking reasonably close to their relative heights in the original cartoon. The boxes of the figures have black-light revealed cybertronian script on them which can be put into the " Found a hidden code? You are now leaving Hasbro. The eagerly awaited Transformers: War for Cybertron Trilogy - Siege has finally arrived on Netflix, casting the war between the robots in disguise in what may be the darkest light yet.

Perhaps more than any other series in the franchise, the anime truly portrays the Autobots and Decepticons as being at war. Based on the recent toyline, the show brings in numerous familiar faces, most of whom hail from the original Generation 1 continuity. Though most are recognizable in both appearance and attitude, several fan-favorite robots have been given a personality facelift to fit in with the show's darker tone.

Chief among these are the Autobots Bumblebee, Jetfire and Impactor, who only share a superficial resemblance to behavior and allegiance of their G1 counterparts. Perhaps even more popular than Optimus Prime himself, the once G1-exclusive Bumblebee has quickly become the face of the franchise.

Thankfully for fans, Siege completely abandons the characterization of the Michael Bay version of the character, going as far as to make his design an exact update of his original look. Where said fidelity to the original show stops, however, is in the new characterization that the show gives him. Impetuous, roguish, and focused solely on scavenging his next batch of energon to trade, this version of Bumblebee is the exact opposite of his usual portrayals.

Whereas Generation 1, its various permutations, and Transformers: Animated portrayed the character as a lovable younger brother character who idolized older 'bots such as Optimus Prime, this Bumblebee wants nothing to do with Prime or his crusade against Megatron. It's only after he comes into contact with the Alpha Trion Protocols that he finally has somewhat of a change of spark. This "chosen one" aspect and rebellious nature make him somewhat similar to haughty teenager Transformers such as Hot Rod and Hot Shot.

This is especially ironic, since Transformers: Armada Hot Shot was initially going to be the first new version of Bumblebee, while Animated Bumblebee was initially going to be a new version of Hot Shot. Besides Optimus Prime and the Dinobots, one of the biggest fan-favorite Autobots from Generation 1 is undoubtedly Jetfire. Known as Skyfire in the cartoon due to the legal issues, Jetfire, as his name would suggest, is one of the few Autobots with an aerial vehicle mode.

This stems from the one constant in his characterization: an early affiliation with the Decepticons.

In the Generation 1 cartoon, Jetfire was a noble Decepticon scientist and best friend of Starscream, who defected from the Decepticon cause when he realized that their goals were the opposite of his own.

Siege's Jetfire eventually joins the Autobots for similar reasons, but his personality beforehand is the exact opposite of the cartoon. Instead of a kind scientist, Jetfire is the ruthless leader of the Seekers who is as callous toward his own allies as he is the Autobots. Likewise, instead of being Starscream's friend, he's his fiercest rival in trying to prove loyalty to Megatron. It's only after Megatron's casually slaughters an unarmed Autobot prisoner that Jetfire decides to switch sides.

Whereas Bumblebee and Jetfire are some of the franchise's biggest names, Impactor is a far more obscure character in comparison. He first appeared in the Transformers comic books from Marvel UK, where he was the battle-ready walking weapon that led the rag-tag Autobot commandos known as the Wreckers.

He was eventually taken offline by a Decepticon assassin, and his death would greatly haunt his team. The character would wallow in obscurity, with very minor roles in Transformers: Animated and the Aligned continuity, before the IDW comics would finally make him mainstream.

In Siege, despite his toy labeling him otherwise, Impactor is never an official member of the Autobot side, nor do the Wreckers appear in any capacity. Instead, he's a Decepticon who's left for dead by his team when a gigantic building collapses on top of him. Saved by Autobot medic Ratchet, Impactor pledges his loyalty to the doctor, grateful for having been given another chance.

This also forces him to come to terms with the madness that has taken over Megatron, whose intentions had by then turned genocidal. In the show's final battle, Impactor is killed trying to protect the Ark and the Autobot's plans to launch it into a Space Bridge. Fading away as Ratchet catches him, he thanks the medic for having shown him a better path in life. Given his relatively minor role in the franchise, it's unlikely that Impactor will be brought back in any capacity to lead the Wreckers in the anime adaptations of Earthrise and Kingdom.

The ability for the show to play around with established characters and revitalize them for new audiences, however, shows that there's always more to this franchise than meets the eye. The series is available on Netflix now. By Timothy Donohoo Aug 02, Share Share Tweet Email 0.

Note the hazard stripes on Impactor's chest hearkening back to his thematic origins as a fellow miner with Megatron before turning sides to the Autobot cause. Also of note is the height of this bot clocking in taller than Ironhide who himself is almost as tall as a Voyager. But we all know it's the headsculpt on this guy that has all the fans swooning.

Impactor is looking like he's fresh off of an IDW comic page with that now iconic Centurion styled helmet. Most fans are feeling this is a better representation of the character than his Autobot release which has a head much more reminiscent of his original appearance in the UK comics. I know in IDW he was never a Decepticon and was simply just friends with Megatron which is probably the basis for this figure, but I mean in this new version. He's not as bad.

Impactor is the legendary former leader of the Wreckersan elite Autobot strike team, and as such is a deadly force to be reckoned with on the battlefield. His body is covered with weaponry, from the tank cannon on his shoulder, to the missiles hidden in his chest, [1] to the handgun strapped to his leg, and finally his signature harpoon weapon that replaces his right hand. His audacity and resolve is what puts him in the history books, for better or for worse.

Impactor's first officer, Springeris inevitably his replacement, once terrible things occur. Springer's feelings regarding his filling of Impactor's immense shoes are always a source of angst.

Just when Springer thinks these emotions are dealt with and buried, Impactor somehow returns to mix things up again. After the departure of Optimus PrimeMegatron and their troops from the war, Emirate Xaaron assigned the Wreckers to assassinate the warlord Tranniswho came into power in Megatron's absence. Impactor was chosen to lead this team. Though the assassination attempt was successful, other leaders quickly sprung up to take Trannis' place. Though Impactor was dedicated to his troops, he was not so dedicated to his superiors, and was not above directly insulting them.

Emirate Xaaron took this attitude in stride, and could give as well as he received. Impactor referred to the Autobot resistance leader as a "wily old buzzard," as he was often surprised by Xaaron's blunt yet indirect ways of making his point and getting what he wanted. Despite this, their difficulties masked a genuine friendship. Countless years later, after Optimus Prime and his Autobots had awoken on EarthImpactor and the Wreckers were responsible for executing Operation: Volcanoa planned ambush of the Decepticons' fiercest warriors using Xaaron as bait.

Ultra Magnus was assigned to the Wreckers to help them bolster their ranks for the mission, but he was quickly needed to travel to Earth to investigate the disappearance of Optimus Prime. Impactor's commitment to the mission wavered and he at first refused to deploy his team without Magnus there as back-up, but he changed his mind after a conversation with Xaaron. Impactor's doubts were further quelled when Xaaron convinced him that SpringerBroadsideand Sandstorm were an adequate replacement for Magnus, which Xaaron accomplished by having them disguise themselves as Decepticons and beat Impactor up.

Operation: Volcano was once again on track. Xaaron, the bait for the Wreckers' trap, was placed according to plan, but suddenly Megatron called his warriors to Earth, overriding all other commands, including the planned ambush on Xaaron.

Disappointed that their trap was ruined, the Wreckers let down their guard long enough to allow an assassin named Macabreignoring Megatron's orders, to fire upon Xaaron. Impactor was the first to react and pushed Xaaron out of the way, taking the shots meant for the Autobot underground resistance leader. Immediately, the other Wreckers turned and fired upon Macabre, killing him, but Impactor was fatally wounded. With his last words he named Springer the next leader of the Wreckers before dying in Xaaron's arms, again calling him a "wily old buzzard.

Impactor's death would haunt several other Autobots for some time to come.

Though he sought to deny it, Ultra Magnus felt guilty for not returning to Cybertron in time, and this led to his taking an excessive approach when dealing with Optimus Prime, whom intelligence reports stated was a traitor.

Under Fire! Subsequently, Magnus found a fight with Megatron proved the opportunity to release his pent-up aggression over Impactor's death. Even after that, the sight of a volcano on Earth left him uneasy, and cause him to flashback to Impactor's death.

If the predictions are correct the odds are first multiplied with each other and then with the amount of the stake. In that kind of bet the player has to predict the end-result of a game.
